![]() If it's not possible I would also like to know a way that would. I think a lot of people would benefit from a script like this because there's a lot of confusion how to actually do it in Traktor and If someone is willing to help me in this regard I would highly appreciate it. So let's say we have a track with a camelot value of 5B or 5A, output should look like this in INITIALKEY tag: That being said, Traktor’s key detection does seem hold up pretty well against the competition in this initial results Learn more about Traktor 2.6.1 here or more about Ibrahim’s Key Finder over here. If value is for example 2B or 2A, add 4 keeping the ending-> 2B: 6B Additionally, the comparison is just results out of 100 songs, which doesn’t make it the ultimate answer to which is best. If value is f.e: 9B (A) substract 2 and keep ending-> 7B (7A) (two semitones down) John Elkann (Executive Chairman) Piero Ferrari (Vice Chairman) Benedetto Vigna (CEO). If value is f.e.: 9A (B) add 5 and keep ending-> 2A (2B) (one semitone down) If value is f.e: 2B (A) add 2 and keep ending-> 4A (4B) (two semitones up) If value is f.e.: 2A (B) add 7 and keep ending-> 9A (9B) (one semitone up) If value is f.e.: 5A substract one and change A to B -> 4B If value is f.e.: 5B add one and change B to A -> 6A So for 5A: 4A-5B-6A and accordingly for 5B: 4A-5A-6BĪdvanced Key Mixing (Dependent on A/B ending) ![]() Substract 1 keeping the ending-Change A/B-add 1 keeping the ending (there are 24 possible values 1A-12A and 1B-12B) (I hope this is even possible with masstagger.OMG please)ġ.) Wipe the INITIALKEY tag if it exists.Ģ.) Read value of %comment% tag and write the following inside INITIALKEY tag: 8A can go to 7A, 9A or 8B smooth as a knife through butter. You can stick to the exact same key, ie 5A to 5A, or move through the gears in a harmonically pleasing fashion. (I partly used to determine what to put there)Īnd now I need help with a script that does the following: Mixed In Key tells you at-a-glance which tracks and sounds will work together. For people interested: First you scan your tracks with traktor, then it should be overwritten by foobar and after that you will have to check consistency in Traktor to see the changes. ![]() What I want to do now is use the INITIALKEY tag (traktor is able to show its values in the filebrowser via the "key text" field) to write the camelot values of the fitting notes so that mixing in key will be a no brainer and I don't have to think about the wheel while mixing. Furthermore I'm using "keyfinder" (It's better than Traktors algorithm and free instead of "mixed in key" which is paid software) to analyze and write the camelot values to the %comment% tag. I'm using the camelot wheel to do so, since I have limited knowledge of harmonic scales. I recently discovered harmonic mixing for myself.
